Boycott chinese items this diwali.

Dear friends,

Today we all saw how China stood up to India’s bid to join the Nuclear Suppliers Group (NSG). Right after this move of China, I noticed a lot of posts being shared by my friends on social media about why we should boycott Chinese products to show our dissent against China for ruining our NSG bid. Although I do agree with the idea, I feel it is not possible until and unless there is a rapid change in Indian mindset.

Let us be practical. How do we boycott Chinese goods? What is the alternative? Indians have a conservative attitude when it comes to spending. We look for something which is cheap as well as good. The only reason China is flourishing is because it is able to give us something which is of decent quality (at least this is what they project and we fall for), and is able to give us these products at a cheap price.
